September 2007:

March 12th – March 25th

1. THE WHOMPING WILLOWS ADDITION: Now you can check out the lyrics for Whompy’s new and awesome song, Draco and Harry Secretly Want To Make Out. Head over to his MySpace to listen to the song, if you haven’t already!

2. THE NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM EXPERIENCE: The Neville Longbottom Experience has just been added to the site! Go check out the lyrics for their very first song, Song For The Yule Ball. 3/25: Two more songs have just been added!

3. CATCHLOVE: We’ve just added Jace’s new wizard rock band, Catchlove, to the site! Jace works with Christian from Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls in the band Talons and Tea Leaves.

4. JUSTIN FINCH-FLETCHLEY AND THE SUGAR QUILLS: Check out the lyrics section for Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills. Justin was in a muggle rock band with Brian and Bradley from Draco and the Malfoys!

5. GINNY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS: Check out the lyrics for these lovely ladies right here. Included are the lyrics for a new song of theirs, Ron, Don’t Run Away, which will be featured on their upcoming EP in May for the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club. Head over here if you haven’t subscribed yet!

1. HOLLOW GODRIC: Go check out the new lyrics section for Hollow Godric! They are wonderful!

2. THE HINKY PUNKS: Here’s another lyrics section up for you guys – The Hinky Punks! The lyrics are from their new CD, A Wizard’s Diary, which you can buy over at their MySpace. They are very awesome, so be sure to check them out!

3. THE BANDON BANSHEES: Everyone go check out The Bandon Banshees new section, which includes lyrics from their demo, unreleased MySpace songs, and even Merry Everything! from An Enchanted Christmas! Awesome!

4. TALONS & TEA LEAVES: Talons and Tea Leaves has been added to the site! Christian from Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls and Jace from Anakin Solo (and his new wrock project, Catchlove)! They are AMAZING. Go check them out. Right now. You will not be disappointed.

5. LORD VOLDI AND THE DARKMARKS: A new evil wizard metal band! Check them out here!

Weekend Wrap-up: 2/2 – 2/18

This won’t happen every weekend, but when we feel it’s necessary we will make a post on a Saturday or Sunday to wrap-up the recent site updates and additions of the past couple weeks. The same information will most likely be posted in our MySpace blog as well for all you MySpace users. So here we go:

February 2nd – February 18th

1. THE WHOMPING WILLOWS: The Whomping Willows have released two new songs which are (for lack of a more perfect word) AWESOME! Check out the lyrics for the House of Awesome Theme Song and Cedric Had It Coming and head over to MySpace to have a listen. PLUS, Check out The Whomping Willows’ Wizard Rock Heart Throb! (It’s located under The Whomping Willows ‘Other Songs’) You can listen and download this new and amazing song here! We love you Whompy!

2. THE MUDBLOODS: Head over to More Bands and be sure to check out The Mudbloods. They rock. A lot.

3. PHILOSOPHEROCK: Philosopherock has been added to the site! (More Bands at the top.) Now, if you haven’t listened to them yet, you really need to. They are all sorts of awesome. In the words of Harry and the Potters: Forget about the Philosopher’s Stone! Because they’ve got the rock right here! Oh, and Eulogy, Book VI is new and simply amazing. Head over to their MySpace to check it out!

4. VOLDEMORT: Voldemort – Wizard METAL has been added to the site! (Check them out under More Bands at the top.) The lyrics are from the new CD, Evil is Sexy, which is the EP of February for the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club. Click here to find out more information about the club, including what other bands are involved.

5. We also introduced our LYRICS OF THE DAY: The world of Wizard Rock revolves around lyrics! We have decided to provide you with Lyrics of the Day in order to capture particularly witty, hilarious, and/or emotionally deep lyrics that deserve this kind of recognition. We’re also asking YOU, the Wizard Rock fans, to pick out some of your favorite lyrics and send them in for us to post as Lyrics of the Day.

Let us know what you think about Lyrics of the Day. Do you like them? Hate them? Have another idea? Or have any other suggestions for the site? Anything at all?! Let us know.
