Harry, Harry, Harry
Talking to you can be scary
As you’re quite extraordinary
So get me to an apothecary
Some people call it stalking
I call it focused walking
But I swear it’s good fun
To worship the Chosen One
Some people call me crazy
Those other girls are lazy
You know, to spike a Cauldron Cake
Is quite a skill, for Merlin’s sake!
Harry, Harry, Harry
Talking to you can be scary
As you’re quite extraordinary
So get me to an apothecary
Some people call me ugly
I just smile at them smugly
I’m sure you like my black hair
But that’s neither here nor there
Some people say I’m obsessed
And others say I’m a pest
Even if these things are true,
You should know that I love you
Harry, Harry, Harry
Talking to you can be scary
As you’re quite extraordinary
To get me to an apothecary
Get me there quick,
‘Cause I need some new ingredients
To make myself a potion so you’ll
Fall in love with me, because
Harry, Harry, Harry
This whole song was…visionary
My fear for you is imaginary
‘Cause I just wanna jump your bones, Harry

I’ve being trying to figure out whose point of view this is from for a while. Is it Cho?
I’m pretty sure it’s from Romilda Vane’s point of view because of these lines: “I’m sure you like my black hair”
and “You know, to spike a Cauldron Cake / Is quite a skill, for Merlin’s sake!”
(…since she was the one who tried to give Harry the love-potion-spiked Cauldron Cakes.)
Oh thank you! I didn’t think Cho fit very well and I forgot about the Romilda Vane/Cauldron Cakes scene.
It does make sense that this is from Romilda Vane’s point of view, but didn’t she give Harry a box of Chocolate Cauldrons? Not to be picky or anything…
kate: yeah! listening to this song the other day (for the millionth time), I just realized the same thing. though I guess it’s easy to confuse the two. but yeah. thanks for pointing it out!
I think the last line’s wrong. I was just listening to the song and it had “‘Cause I just wanna be your girl, Harry”. Does anyone know what is the correct lyrics?
the version that’s posted is correct. at least, that’s the way the line is in the version of the song that appears on the “Muggle Knitting Patterns” CD. it’s possible that you heard an earlier version or demo with a different ending. it wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve run across different versions of the same song with a few minor changes between them
